Meng Teck
Meng Teck grew up in a B40 family in Johor. His father was a lorry driver. His mother worked at the supermarket. Nobody in his family had any knowledge about investing or wealth-building.
At 19, he saved RM9,500 from his customer service job paying RM3,500 a month — picking up the phone for RM10-20 per hour. That was everything he had. He invested it all into one stock — Padini — at RM1.80, when everyone else was panic-selling over elections.
That decision made 18% profit in one month. It was the beginning of a journey that would take RM9,500 to RM100,000 in five years, and then to RM1 million in the next two.
Along the way, he personally met and learned from Asia's greatest investors: Lo Kheng Hong (Indonesia's Buffett), Dr. Niwes Hemvachiravarakorn (who turned 200,000 into 200 million USD), and Koon Yew Yin (who turned RM200,000 into RM200 million starting at age 55).
With an engineering background, Meng Teck brought a logical, systems-based approach to investing. This led to the creation of the FATARM methodology in 2019 — an AI-powered 3-pillar value investing system (FA + TA + RM) now taught to thousands.
His philosophy: "Rich is no worry. Rich is not stress. Rich is freedom. Not 'I cry in Lamborghini' — that is poor. I want to be very happy in my Bezza. That's rich."
Since 2013, his mission has been simple: make stock investing accessible to every Malaysian, regardless of background or starting capital.
