Three pillars. Thirteen years of refinement. Built for Malaysian beginners.
FATARM = Fundamental Analysis + Technical Analysis + Risk Management. The system Meng Teck used to grow RM 9,500 into RM 1,000,000+ — now AI-amplified for the next generation of Malaysian investors.
The 3-Criteria Gate
Before any stock enters FATARM analysis, it must pass these three foundational tests. Skip them, and the rest of the system can't help you.
Know what you're buying
The Kopitiam Test. Can you explain this business to a friend at the kopitiam? If not, don't buy. Warren Buffett only invests in businesses he understands. Lo Kheng Hong follows the same rule.
Buy growing companies
Dr. Niwes's target: 15% annual growth. At this rate, revenue doubles every 5 years. "Good investors cannot sit in ivory towers. They must get down and look."
Be greedy when others are fearful
Buffett's principle. When the market crashes, your instinct says sell. Value investors say buy. Koon Yew Yin proved it — RM 200,000 grew to RM 200 million.
Three pillars, one decision.
FATARM combines three disciplines that most investors use in isolation. Together, they answer the only three questions that matter: What am I buying? When do I buy? What if I'm wrong?
What is the business actually worth?
Understand the business inside out. How does the company make money? Is it growing? Is the management trustworthy? Are the financials healthy?
Why it matters: 90% of retail investors buy stocks they can't explain. Fundamental analysis ensures you only invest in quality businesses with real value — companies with strong moats, healthy balance sheets, and consistent growth.
How we teach it: The Kopitiam Test. If you can't explain it over coffee, you don't buy it. We walk you through reading financial statements, assessing competitive advantages, and identifying companies worth holding for years.
"I only invest in businesses so simple that even a primary school student can understand them." Lo Kheng Hong · Indonesia's Buffett
Is this the right time to act?
Even a great company is a bad investment if you overpay. Is the current price below the stock's true value? What's the optimal time to buy and sell?
Why it matters: The right business at the wrong price is still a loss. Technical analysis helps you find the right entry and exit points so you maximize returns.
How we teach it: PE ratio analysis, chart reading, price-to-value comparison, and trend identification — not day trading. The goal is to buy undervalued stocks at the right moment, not to flip them weekly.
"Buy when PE is low. Sell when PE is high. Patience is everything." Lo Kheng Hong
What if you're wrong?
How much can you afford to lose? Set rules before buying, not after losing. Protect your capital at all costs.
Why it matters: Survival is more important than profit. One bad investment can wipe out years of gains if you don't manage risk. The best investors aren't the ones who make the most — they're the ones who lose the least.
How we teach it: Position sizing, stop-loss discipline, portfolio allocation, and emotional management based on your personal risk profile.
"The most important rule of investing is: don't lose money. The second rule: don't forget rule number one." Warren Buffett
